Jaldar Sozni Cashmere Stole — Light lavender with dark purple

Sozni is the finest of the Kashmiri needle embroideries. A single strand is used, and worked well the motif reads on both faces of the cloth. This piece is jaldar: needlework spread across the whole body in an open, net-like pattern, with the ground still visible. The ground is cashmere, and the colour is light lavender. Embroidered entirely by hand.
