The gulkar jaal is the most demanding form of sozni: an unbroken field of flowering vine worked needle-point across the entire ground. This shawl was embroidered by one artisan over roughly three years on handspun, handwoven pure pashmina. The thread is matched fine enough that the reverse reads almost as cleanly as the face.
